Presenting JKU's Air Traffic Management Research at the University of Tokyo

The TTMS is an optimization platform for target times of arrival of flights, which was developed as part of the #HARMONIC project in a joint effort between Zurich Airport, Swiss International Air Lines, EUROCONTROL, skyguide, Frequentis, AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, and Johannes Kepler University Linz. The TTMS was recently tested in live trials at Zurich airport. The invited talk focused on the challenges of privacy-preserving optimization, which keeps the confidential preferences submitted by the airlines to the platform protected, and the consideration of equity, which requires that no airlines are consistently disadvantaged or advantaged in the long run.
