Mag. Dr. Bernd Neumayr

Bernd Neumayr

Lektor

I received my master's degree in business informatics and my doctorate from JKU, in 2004 and 2010, respectively. In the academic year 2001/2002 I studied at the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. From 2004 to 2005 I was project manager (SAP ERP, CRM) and head of IT at Emco Maier GmbH, a producer of lathe and milling machines. Since 2006, I have been researcher and lecturer at the department of business informatics - data and knowledge engineering at JKU. Since 2014, I have been deputy head of the department. I have been teaching undergraduate courses on data modeling and data and knowledge engineering. Since 2010 I have been teaching a graduate course on Semantic Web technologies with an emphasis on RDF, SPARQL, and OWL together with related tools and frameworks such as Jena, OWL API, and Protégé. During the academic year 2015-2016, I was on sabbatical leave at the University of Oxford.
